I was excited to try this primer because it's popular and everyone seems to like it. I got a sample from other makeup. I know this is a foundation primer but I don't wear foundation. I don't really use primer on my face because I don't really wear face makeup. So I used this primer as an eyeshadow primer.
It makes you skin really soft and it's like you're putting on gel. Within an hour my eyeshadow disappeared and didn't show up anymore. I can only imagine if it doesn't work for eyeshadow that it probably isn't the best primer for foundation either. This primer doesn't compare to the Elf eyeshadow primer I used that makes my eyeshadow last all day. Definitely don't recommend this primer for an eyeshadow primer.

I adore this primer and find that it keeps my makeup looking fresh all day long. I've never tried it on my lids as I do think it would be a little too watery for that. At the moment it's currently my holy grail and it knocked Benefits Porefessional off the pedestal I had it on :') x

I will have to try that! :)
DeletePrimer is engineered to hold onto/bond to creams. Which is why it's an excellent liquid foundation primer. It might work better with cream eyeshadow instead of normal powder eyeshadow if that's how you want to use it. :)
ReplyDeleteI will have to try it with a cream eyeshadow.
DeleteI used the purple one of this primer because Ingrid Nilsen raved about it and it literally made my makeup slip and slide all over my face and made it really oily by the end of the day, not good!!

I like the elf primer better.
DeleteMy favourite primer is the Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion as it is tacky enough for the eyeshadow to stay on all day long without having it smudge underneath my eyes, without being overly sticky. For my face, I'm seriously loving the Bare Escentuals (Bare Minerals) Prime Time Foundation Primer. Being 100% honest, this is a life saver!!
